The Nordic Embassy Cooperation Programme is a continuation of the Ambassadepuljen (Initiatives for cooperation among Nordic diplomatic missions to promote Our Vision 2030). This programme is dedicated to the embassies and diplomatic missions of Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Åland (outside of the Nordic region) to support cooperation and promoting Nordic interest in the world.
This programme strives to increase the cooperation between abovementioned Nordic embassies and diplomatic missions, to promote knowledge about Nordic cooperation, solutions and more importantly to support the realization of the Nordic Council of Ministers Our Vision 2030. This vision stipulates that Nordic region will become the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030. The Nordic Embassy Cooperation Programme is financed by the Nordic countries and this programme is administrated by the office of the Nordic Council of Ministers´ in Estonia.

Embassy cooperation for gender equality and/or LGBTI equal rights (Pushing for Progress)
In addition to the overall Nordic Embassy Cooperation Program (NEP), the Nordic Council of Ministers also encourages Nordic embassy cooperation focused on gender equality and LGBTI equal rights. In the context of the global backlash against gender equality and LGBTI equal rights, the Nordic governments have adopted the Pushing for Progress declaration that reaffirm their commitment to continued progress on these policy areas in the Nordic region and globally. Under the Pushing for Progress initiative, the Nordic Council of Ministers for Gender Equality & LGBTI has allocated funding for Nordic embassies working together to realize the objectives of the declaration, which Nordic embassies can apply for directly outside the scope of the general NEP. Such project proposals must have gender equality and/or LGBTI equal rights as the core component as well as take place in a context where gender equality and/or LGBTI equal rights are currently under pressure. Projects must be implemented in 2026, 2027 and/or 2028 and can be supported with total amount of up to 300.000 DKK.
